Coming out of the workshop, you find yourself on the path leading to the Israel Hiking Trail and to a forest with many different types of trees. A small botanical garden is being created here with special trees such as cedar, Ficus, cork oak, Sequoya and fruit trees. We plant to compensate for trees that we use one for one. The planting is done with the client and in cooperation with the JNF’s nursery at Eshtaol. The Teepee area is where we sleep and where we hold group circles.

 

In 1854 the US government wanted to buy 2 million acres of Native American lands in North West America. Chief Seattle wrote a response to the president on December 1854. It is considered to be the most important and poetic writing about environmental issues ever written.
